I took a walk through dream's resplendent door
And met a girl I'd never met before.
Her hair was embers, dying yet still strong
Her voice, a sweet but simple summer's song.
We took a walk through towers of old books,
Peacefully drinking our friendship in.
All fear and insecureness we forsook,
My hand in hers, untainted perfect skin.
But daybreak stole my lover of the night,
The harsh realities of every noon,
And took away my maiden of the moon,
Never to be blessed by her sweet light.
And now I wait, eternally alone
For one last sleep to take us to our home.

be who you are
and say what you mean
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind.
